Certification Requirements

The Washington DC Centre of Indian Champissage™ provides certification as a Qualified Therapist. The requirements for certification are:

• Completion of the basic course.
• 15-20 hours of practice following the basic course.
• Completion, documentation and summarization of five (5) case studies of at least five (5) treatments each.

Expect to spend an average of three (3) months to complete the case studies. Submit all documentation for review at least two (2) weeks prior to the exam date.

The certification examination consists of the following:

• Oral presentation of case studies.
• Written examination (60 minutes) from material in the course training manual and the book “Indian Head Massage, Discover the Power of Touch” by Narendra Mehta.
• Practical examination – demonstrating the Indian Champissage™ technique (all hand movements in the proper sequence).

There is a $100 fee for the certification exam. Successful applicants may choose to be listed on the Washington DC Centre's website.
