Indian Champissage™

This is a simple, safe, and highly beneficial therapy that has been popular on the Indian subcontinent for over a thousand years. The head, neck, shoulders, and upper back – areas where tension is more likely to accumulate – are gently, firmly and rhythmically massaged until the pressure simply begins to melt away. This unique therapy combines with energy balancing to produce feelings of perfect peace and tranquility. There is no need to undress and no oils are used.

Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy™

This is an ancient form of bodywork brought to us through Buddhist monks from China, Thailand and Japan. Very deep soothing strokes are applied to all muscles of the back using hand and foot pressure to milk the muscles and release toxins. This treatment is designed to induce deep relaxation, relieve tension, and stimulate the body's own self-healing mechanism.

Swedish

The term “Swedish Massage” refers to several techniques which are designed specifically to relax muscles, release toxins, and relieve tension and stress. These massage techniques include effleurage (long, slow strokes with palms and fingertips); petrissage (kneading); tapotement (friction, tapping, vibration, percussion); and stretching. The benefits of Swedish massage include improving blood and lymph circulation and immune system function, cleansing metabolic waste material from muscle tissue, reducing physical and emotional stress, and enhancing general well-being.

Sports Massage

Sports massage is a deep soft tissue technique which is specifically tailored to relieve the stress, tension and fatigue which result from sporting activities. The most important benefits of sports massage are reducing and rehabilitating sport-related injuries, providing a pre-event warmup to loosen muscles, and easing post-event muscle tension and inflammation.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage

This is a gentle, rhythmic technique which cleanses the connective tissue of inflammatory materials and waste products. Lymph Drainage stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, enhances the activity of the immune system, reduces pain and swelling, enhances the absorption of fluids, and relieves stress.

Hot Stone Therapy

A classic Swedish massage is accompanied by sanitized and polished volcanic stones which are heated to a comfortable 120°. The “hot rocks” are deeply soothing. The heat allows the muscles to relax more quickly. The body is blanketed in a natural, relaxing warmth which melts away muscular tension and stress.

Reflexology

Reflexology is based on an ancient Chinese therapy involving the manipulation of specific areas of the feet which correspond to other parts of the body. Applying pressure to the reflex points on the feet stimulates muscles and internal organs, and relieves areas of congestion elsewhere in the body. For example, pressing on the tips of the toes can help clear stuffy sinuses. Reflexology promotes relaxation and a sense of well-being.

Reiki

From the Japanese words meaning “universal life force,” Reiki is believed to date from ancient Tibet. It is an energy healing technique involving hands-on touch which may be experienced as a flow of soothing warmth. The benefits of Reiki include relaxation, a feeling of peace and well-being, and spiritual and emotional healing.

On-Site Massage

Seated on-site massage is a convenient way to bring the benefits of therapeutic massage to the workplace. On-site massage helps to relieve stress and problems associated with repetitive tasks. There are immediate positive effects such as reducing tension, improving alertness, relieving stiff, sore muscles, and increasing morale. On-site massage can be incorporated into a workplace wellness program or provided for special occasions. An on-site session generally lasts 10-20 minutes. The client is fully clothed and no oil or cream is required. Indian Champissage™ is an ideal therapy for on-site massage.
